Make sure when you tuck your phone in at night, you don’t do it with you in the bed.  This is because the charging port is more prone to breakage.  You’re better off keeping it on the night stand next to you.  If it falls off the nightstand you are going to want to have it protected.  That’s why I recommend a case similar to the otter box design.  The standard rubber cases are good but double protection is better.  Finally the most fragile part is worth protecting as it is THE most common repair needed.  Get a tempered glass screen protector.  Follow all these tips and you will have your phone working until you want a new one, not need a new one.
