Calling all DIY Phone Repairers: Free E-book on Phone Repair

Phone repair is a skill that save you hundreds of dollars.  By fixing your own phone you can save money but the number of steps can be overwhelming.  Most repairs involve skill learned over a period of time.  I aim to shorten that learning curve with my course on phone repair.

The actual repair of phones takes dexterity.  There are very fine cables, ribbons and antenna.  The screws are microscopic.  Batteries lie close to pry points making damage and ignition a real possibility.  But with guidance from a trained and experienced professional it is possible to accomplish.

Second you will want to source quality parts.  Nothing is worse than successfully going through all the steps of a repair only to find compatibility problems with the part you ordered and used for the repair.  The general rule is very simple for iPhone and Samsung Screens, if the phone is made with an OLED screen then use an OLED replacement.  If its designed with an LCD screen use an LCD.  If you want to use an LCD on an OLED iphone it will work on models before 13 pro, with everything after requiring an OLED replacement.

You will need to diagnose the phone based on some criteria.  When a screen is broken you must verify that it’s the screen that’s broken and not a deeper issue.  For example the iPhone XS Max had a design flaw on the motherboard.  The motherboard flexed in the thin aluminum casing causing tiny wires to break.  This caused the screen to loose touch screen function.  If you just replaced the screen the issue would remain.

When diagnosing charging issues Apple has a feature called Battery Health in Settings that shows when a battery is losing its ability to hold a charge.  It will also notify you when a battery replacement is recommended.  You will also want to test the charger port, cameras and faceID function which can be lost during certain repairs.

To fix the phone you must use a visual guide, in my course I have provided access to a VIP Discord server that has a curated compiled list of the best repair tutorials available.  I used to sort through video after video and not find one that clearly showed how to fix the phone.  I have solved this problem for you by compiling the best all in one place.  The video links are sorted by make and model.  I include iPhone, Smasung, Motorola and iPad tutorial links.

With these points in mind head on over to foundationsphonerepair.com to download the E-book for FREE!  The entire course is available there free to start.  I hope to see you on the Discord Server available with the paid course where you can find valuable step-by-step links and ask me questions.
